Meet Gangadharaiah. C P

Gangadharaiah C.P. (Ganga) is Sr. Vice President and Global Head of Testing Services of Wipro Technologies. Wipro Technologies is a division of Wipro Limited and with sales of over US$3.1 Billions and focus in providing software services and products to clients all over the world, specializing in areas like Telecom, Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, retail, utilities and E-commerce segments.

Ganga joined Wipro Systems in 1995 to head telecom business of Nortel customer. He built the wire line business of Nortel to more than 500 people. He was awarded Group President Award for building the Nortel business. He then moved to handle other telecom business comprising of more than 35 customers with different technologies and geographies.  He then moved to Testing Services business Unit (known as Interop Solutions) During December 1999. It was a small business unit of comprising of about 150 people and five customers, mainly in the telecom space. Over the period of time, he built the business unit to more than 6000 people in a span of 7 years addressing multiple customer segments and geographies.

In a career at Wipro that almost spans more than 12 years, Ganga has the unique distinction of moving across the technology and enterprise spaces of the organisation with ease, gathering a deep insight into both segments.

Ganga moved to the role of Sr Vice President and Global Head of Testing Services in Oct 2005. Under his leadership, the Testing group is recognized as the largest third party offshore testing service provider in the world (2005, AMR Report).  Ganga focussed on building a strong team with testing centric foundation competency along with domain competencies to address specific needs of different industry verticals. Also, built a strong differentiated specialized service lines namely in the area of Packaged Application Testing, Performance Testing, Test Consultancy. Developed domain centric test solutions, frameworks, built relationships with number of leading test tool vendors.

Ganga did his MS Degree in Computer Science from University of Alberta, Canada, preceded by Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has Bachelors degree from the University College of Engineering, Bangalore, in Electrical Engineering and is a First Rank holder for the University.
