Workshop Overview
Are you are responsible for testing a product where the cost of failure is high, then Risk based Testing is that you need.

You want to be confident that you are testing the right things at the right time, risk based testing is the answer.

You are working in a project environment where schedule adherence is mandatory irrespective of delays which you can not control then risk based testing is that you need.

A risk is a factor that could result in negative consequences; it is derived by the probability of occurrence and its impact. The process of assessing the identified risks and defining its probability and impact is risk analysis.

Risk based testing is an approach to testing, here testing is prioritized based on the product risks, A number of test cases to be designed and executed is prioritized based on the risk value. High risk items are addressed with the appropriate amount of testing.

Workshop Objective
To understand Risk based Testing and appreciate it's value. Identify product risks, risk analysis and come up with test strategy, test design and test execution plan.

Mamatha is currently with Siemens Information Systems Ltd. India (SISL). She is driving testing team in medical applications domain. She is also a member of SEPG group in SISL.

She brings in rich experience from organizations like Wipro and Karnataka Telecom Ltd(KTL).She had joined KTL in the first batch( among the first 10), so got an excellent exposure to complete product cycle, starting from procurement of components to customer release of the product.

She has over 12 years of IT experience with varied domain expertise viz., Telecom and Medical application and specializes in testing area. She has received many recognitions including "Excellence award" from customer. Mamatha is an engineering graduate from UVCE a premium engineering college from Bangalore University.
