Amit Jain, Senior Project Manager and

Gagan Kapoor, Head Project Management Office

SAP Global Delivery

The paper looks at the current environment of executing large IT projects through a model of using multiple delivery locations. The delivery model brings together a team from diverse backgrounds working from widely spread out geographical locations to deliver a project successfully.
The focus is to analyse the delivery of such large projects where the softer aspects like team diversity come into picture. This diversity brings in a complexity in terms of the following 3 C’s:
- Culture
- Control
- Communication

Amit Jain an alumnus of BITS, Pilani and XIM, Bhubaneswar. He has delivered consulting assignments for customers in Semiconductor, Hi-Tech, Automotive, Fashion, Food processing, Tobacco, Transportation, Aerospace, Electronics and Utilities industries.

Gagan Kapoor an alumnus of IIM, Bangalore. He has been responsible for building competence and tools & methods for delivering projects using distributed teams.
