The adoption of ITIL® practices have enabled the IT organizations to achieve excellence in service management which in turn led to customer delightness. Most organizations that embark on the ITIL® journey begins with ambitious service level goals without having much focus on the ITSM foundations, and eventually are not able to see the fruitful results from their efforts spent in terms of time and money.
This paper focuses on leveraging the LEAN principles to optimize ITIL® practices for effective IT Service Management and methodologies adopted to improvise the service support and service delivery practices by identifying and eliminating the non-value added activities through technology enablers.
