IT outsourcing, like other Business Processes Outsourcing, has become an imperative for companies worldwide, not only because of cost advantage but due to a horde of benefits like technology transformation, de-risking businesses, sparing the management time to concentrate on their core business etc. As IT is vital to all businesses due to their heavy reliance on it for all activities, the companies have a natural and valid reluctance to outsource their IT management to an outsider, especially off-sharing to other countries, for various reasons including Information Security and compliance with the laws and regulations of their own countries.
Infrastructure Management Service Providers, therefore, have a number of challenges, IT Governance being a major one. However, through implementation of IT Service Management, they can effectively meet this challenge and comply with requirements of various Global regulatory provisions. This presentation will focus on:
• |
What and Why of IT Governance |
• |
Principles and focus areas of good corporate governance of IT |
• |
Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) and IT Governance essentials in RIM |
• |
Demonstration of compliance through IT Service Management |
