The global software industry has consistently grown in the last two decades. As the industry expands and is faced with challenges of rapid changes in business and operational needs, high maturity practices of CMMI® for development help establish a framework of resilient processes to cope with these increasing pressures by focusing on areas which have a measurable impact on business.
This paper will focus on the alignment of the high maturity practices with the business goals of an organization. The importance of assessing the organization’s competitive strengths, vulnerabilities and key performance gaps in developing a focused growth strategy has been discussed in detail. Koel Bhattacharya, a Six Sigma Green Belt, ITIL® V3 certified, comes with over seven years of industry experience. In her current role, she leads the quality practice for North West Europe at Capgemini (India) and has been involved in CMMI® Level 5, ISO and six sigma initiatives for the organization.
Meet Avinash Bharj
Avinash Bharj, CQA, certified Black Belt, comes with over fourteen years of industry experience and has handled several process certification and improvement programs under ISO, CMM®, Lean and Six Sigma. Currently, he is heading the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) function at Capgemini (India), and is responsible for process implementation and improvements across all the business units. |
