This paper provides an overview of “Maintenance Project specific OTD/Effort Variance Prediction Modeling” for predicting Effort and Schedule in Maintenance projects. This also helps is taking decisions based out of what if analysis (which change can yield maximum benefit). The key objectives are to get prediction about meeting the estimates and Quality Objective with pre defined confidence level. This tool is helpful to Project managers to understand the certainly of meeting the OTD goal as well as meeting effort goal. If some variation is found then guides towards factor contributing most for that variation. This Model will also be helpful in identification of risks for the project, as it is Predicting the Certainty in meeting the Project Objectives. This will also guide towards Optimum process Composition.
