The challenges for High Maturity practices implementation are many. The implementation need to be effective in order to deliver business results. The HM appraisals expect greater level of attention to detail focused during deployment. Over the years the lead time to reach higher maturity has come down across the industry. Deploying high maturity across organizations globally pose their own unique challenges. The speaker is sharing his approaches and experiences which cover the essential elements of robust HM deployment to address the above challenges in his presentation.
Meet Kaliappan
Kaliappan (Kal) currently heads the High Maturity Program for Best Shore Application Services at HP, covering centers across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. His primary responsibilities include developing High Maturity capability and driving and assisting the centers in High Maturity initiatives to drive productivity improvements and business benefits. Kal as a High Maturity Lead Appraiser also performs appraisals across various HP centers.
Kal has conducted a number of gap analyses, mini-assessments, appraisals and consulting/ training sessions. During the career, he was instrumental in development of quality system and deployment leading to certification/ maturity level rating of organizations he was working with, as per standards and models including ISO 9001/TickIT, CMM®, CMMI®, BS15000/ISO20000, and ISO27001.
Written and published around 7 papers relating to Statistical Process Control and Metrics in World Congress on SW Quality & Software Engineering Information Repository (SEIR). He has published a report within HP, ‘Creating and deploying prediction models in HP Best Shore Centers’. |
